Custom Team Activity Stream Gadget - Free supports JQL queries for filtered results and fetches more activities than the basic version. Users can access a wider range of information, including issue updates, comments, and transitions. The stream can be personalized by selecting specific fields. Overall, it empowers users with increased functionality, improved productivity, and real-time project updates within JIRA. It lets you highlight issues in standard gadgets making your Dashboard even more informative.

Simultaneously highlighting multiple conditions with different colors makes it easy to spot matching issues on all standard screens. Customize your views on a new level by adding color to whole rows.

These features enables many business needs to be met like browsing worklogs activities, retrieve issues with specifics components, sprints, due date or versions and much more.

👉 If you are using a saved filter , it must be visible to other users in case of a shared dashboard

👉 It is recommended to set a filter display limit of 100 issues to match the cloud architecture and improve performance

Adding Custom Team Activity Stream Gadget on the Dashboard

From your Dashboard, click on edit then you’ll see a window with “Drag your gadgets here or add a new gadget”. Click on add a new gadget.

Use the search bar to find “Custom Team Activity Stream Gadget - Free by Atlassway” and add it directly on your Dashboard.

Starting with the plugin

Once the Filter Activity Stream Gadget added to your dashboard , you can start configure it as needed .

Title

The title can be let it by default or you can add a new one. When you have few search filter at the same time, we recommend to use different title as it allows you to precise the nature of each search.

Customizing your filter

Create your custom filter using basic search or JQL .

Click the 3 dots …
Click Configure

Select New filter
Start creating your filter (basic search or JQL)

Please note you can also use saved filter , Choose your custom filter from the search bar or directly form the list (see screenshot) .

Custom Team Activity Stream Gadget - Free lets you highlight issues based on JQL, make your Dashboard even more informative.

Display options

1. Add columns to display

You can add columns to display, add fields to the list above by selecting them.

2. Limit to display items

You can add a limit of items to display for your search. Please note the possibility the option to use the "show more" button in the results window later.

3. Automatically refresh this activity stream items

To regularly update your content and avoid doing it manually, click on the checkbox to display a list of time periods and choose the most useful for you.

Checking the results

The results are based on your search and you can customize it as you need :
You can open the profile of the task author
Access directly to the task from the result
Display more results with paging action

Activity types

Click on the field to display the list of activity types. Choose one or more elements for which you want to streamline your activity feed.

Group/ User

Excluded User

Click on the field to display the list of users you might want to exclude from the search. Choose one or more users you want to exclude from the search.

Time Range

Save selection In the Jira dashboard, a user can select filter values and save them for that particular report representation in the Jira dashboard. This selection will override the default values that are selected in the Custom Team Activity Stream Gadget - Free. Please make sure to “Save” the selection (see picture above).
