Steps to Create a Colored Label Field
Access Apps:
Log in as a Jira Administrator.
Click on Apps in the navigation menu.
Navigate to Colored Label Manager:
Go to → Colored Label Manager.
Click on Colored Label Fields.
Create a New Label Field:
Click on Create Colored Label Field.
Enter a Name and Description for your new label field.
Click Create to finalize.

In order to To use Colored Label Fields in your project, you will need to must first add them to the appropriate screensrelevant screens. This ensures they are visible and accessible when creating or editing issues. |
To check which type of project you are using, look at the bottom of your project’s left-hand sidebar.
The text at the bottom of the panel will indicate which type of project you are in.
Team-managed Project
For Team-managed projects: Select Project settings > Issue types >Choose
Go to Project Settings.
Select Issue Types.
Choose the issue type you want to add Colored Labels to
.
Click Search and select your Colored Label field.
Company-managed Project
For Company-managed projects: Select Project settings > Issues > Layout >
Go to Project Settings.
Select Issues.
Click Layout.
Choose the Issue
Types Screen you want to add Colored Labels to
.
Click Edit Issue Layout
.
Search for and add your Colored Label field.
